A subsidiary of Great American, the first thing you’d assume about Oklahoma Surety is that they are actually a very reliable brand, whether or not you’ve ever heard of the mid-size insurer before. Certainly, this is where Oklahoma Surety ranks very highly compared to similar sized insurance companies.

Accredited with the Better Business Bureau, the Oklahoma Surety Group receives and A+ rating and have, in fact, had no real complaints issued against them to the BBB in the last three years. The group’s parent company, Mid-Continent, also maintain an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau and have a “stable outlook.” With AM Best, Oklahoma Surety currently hold an A rating that is expected to jump to an A+ within the next year.

This is all good news, but so far we’ve only covered the fact that they are a reputable and professional cheap auto insurance provider. If we really look between the lines and explore what customers are saying, that’s where we can really see how an insurer performs. With smaller insurance companies like this, you never know. It may well be that Oklahoma has some locations in neighboring states, but it’s probably a safe bet that they are Oklahoma-exclusive, and we will be assuming as such for the remainder of this review.

Reputation

Besides their A+ and A ratings from BBB and AM Best, respectively, Oklahoma have a reputation for excellence dating back to their founding in 1968. However, there is no information on when the group joined up with Great American Insurance Group, so while they have maintained a solid reputation throughout their history, some of that history is a little murky.

Versatility

Oklahoma Surety sells insurance policies in three areas: Inland marine, personal auto and commercial casualty. We’re looking at personal auto for the sake of this review. If you want to get your business car and your personal vehicle on the same policy, you may want to go with a more versatile insurer. Luckily, if all you need is a good, safe personal vehicle policy, then you’ve come to the right place. By specializing in just a few areas of insurance, Oklahoma are able to offer just the very best service available. With a solid reputation in the area and reasonable prices, they offer the kind of responsiveness that you just plain cannot get from a larger insurance company.

Overall

It seems clear when you look at the facts that Oklahoma are a reliable, safe and affordable insurance company and that they’re going to be around for many years into the future. If you live in Oklahoma of if you can find a location in your own state you could do a whole lot worse than Oklahoma Surety Auto Insurance. There are cheaper insurers, but there aren’t many that are this reliable at this price.

With growth expected in the coming years, it may be a good idea to sign up with Oklahoma Insurance right now while they still operate strictly out of a base of operations in their home state. While they are likely to maintain their strict loyalty to the customer and their integrity as they expand, it is nevertheless always a good idea to get on the ground floor of a good thing.
